Research Workspace
Planned / Not Yet Implemented
Section titled “Planned / Not Yet Implemented”Research Workspace is the planned home for long-running private research work launched from chat. It should own artifacts, revisions, runs, citations, publish/export states, and bounded done criteria instead of overloading a normal chat thread.
Intended Shape
Section titled “Intended Shape”- Launch from chat with a distilled brief, selected sources, mode, focus scope, template/skill snapshot, and budget limits.
- Keep research artifacts in workspace-owned revisions and branches.
- Show user-readable run phases such as planning, gathering, analyzing, drafting, needs input, and complete.
- Preserve citations and provenance at an artifact level.
- Use private-data egress policy and entitlement-controlled runtime limits.
- Reuse Mastra workspace primitives for file, command, search, and skill-backed execution where they fit.
Current State
Section titled “Current State”- Canonical spec, stories, and acceptance tests exist.
- Implementation is not complete.
- Chat remains the current primary answer surface for ordinary assistant work.
